WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Sunday will be another sunny to mostly day with warmer afternoon highs. Look for a cool start Sunday morning with lows in the low 50's. By afternoon a light southeast winds will develop with highs soaring to around 80. Clouds will begin to increase Sunday night with lows near 60.
By Monday a strong cool front will move into central North Carolina. Ahead of this front we'll see a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the low 80's. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will accompany the front. Locally heavy downpours and gusty winds will be possible with any storms. Widespread severe weather is not expected.
Cooler and drier weather returns Tuesday. It will be sunny with highs in the low 70's. Tuesday night will be clear and chilly with lows in the mid 40's.
