
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - One person has been taken to the hospital, following an overnight house fire in Wilmington.
According to New Hanover County 911 Dispatch, a neighbor reported seeing smoke and flames coming from a mobile home on the 3000 block of Lynn Avenue around 2:30am, Thursday.
Firefighters were able to put out the blaze, but the mobile home was so badly damaged, it is said to be a total loss.
According to Deputy Fire Marshal Joshua Smith, officials believe the fire started with the air conditioning unit, but an investigation is still underway.
The owner of the home, a man in his late 60's, was taken to the hospital. He is expected to be okay.
