Man pleads guilty to kidnapping; sentenced to at least 8 years in prison

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A Bladen County man recently pleaded guilty to kidnapping, according to a news release from the office of District Attorney Jon David.

Craig D. George of Council, NC pleaded guilty Monday to first degree kidnapping in Bladen County Superior Court.

According the release, his plea came after he abducted a former girlfriend from a grocery store in Lisbon in November 2009 by forcing her into a vehicle, driving to his grandmother's home and sexually and physically assaulted her before stealing her car and fleeing the area.
