Smokey Caramelized Onions

  • 1 Red or Vidalia onion, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Slowly cook onions in olive oil until they start to turn golden brown and soften.  Add honey, paprika, salt and pepper.

Stir constantly until they are dark brown.  Cool and use on roasts, soups, sauces or sandwiches.
