RALEIGH, NC (WECT) - If regular old Girl Scout Cookies aren't enough to satisfy that sweet tooth, you can try them deep fried this year.
The Caramel DeLites® are getting the deep-fried treatment at the N.C. State Fair this month. It's in honor of the Girl Scouts 100th anniversary.
The caramel treat is a vanilla cookies coated in caramel, sprinkled with coconut and striped with chocolate. According to a news release, it's the most popular cookie in eastern North Carolina. This new version will add special batter, powdered sugar and an option of chocolate sauce.
It'll cost you $5 for an order. The state fair runs from October 11th through the 21st at the state fairgrounds.
