NEW HANOVER CO., NC (WECT) - Snow's Cut Park in southern New Hanover County will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 3 while crews film the NBC television series Revolution.

People are encouraged to visit River Road Park, which is a short drive away on River Road. It includes a picnic area, playground, grills and a fishing pier.

Snow's Cut Park will reopen on Thursday, Oct. 4.

Revolution has been filming around the area, including downtown Wilmington, the train tracks in Columbus County and the train depot in Burgaw.

The drama is set in a world where all forms of energy have disappeared. It follows a group of people trying to survive and reunite with loved ones. The show picks up 15 years after the mysterious blackout.

Revolution airs on WECT Monday nights at 10pm.
