WILMINGTON,NC (WECT) - The third time was not the charm for an alleged robber in Wilmington.

Police say Kevin Abron-Alex Wade, 18, went into the Murphy Gas Station on Sigmon Road shortly after 6 a.m. Monday, pulled a gun and demanded money. According to dispatch, the alleged robber was wearing a black ski mask and got away with about $50 in quarters.

Police took Wade into custody on the armed robbery and then connected him to two recent robberies at that same gas station. Those took place around the same time each morning on August 29th and September 6th.

Wade is currently in the New Hanover County Jail on a $150,000 bond.  He faces one count of armed robbery. The other charges are pending.
