
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Scotchman on 4401 Market Street was victim to an armed robbery Sunday morning, shortly before 7:00A.M.
A man walked in, pointed a gun at a female employee and demanded money, according to information from Wilmington police.
The employee gave the robber cash from the register, but told him she could not open the safe. That's when she told police he left. The employee was unharmed.
There is surveillance video, but police tell WECT.com that the suspect's face was covered to hid his identity.
The robber is described as a short black male around 5'5" - 5'6". He was wearing a black shirt, a black bandana covering his hair and face, and black gloves.
