WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Wilmington Police
Department are investigating a shooting that took place early Friday morning at
the Wilmington Sportsman Club at 1111 Castle Street.
According to police, a 28-year-old man was shot in the cheek
and hip around 2:00 a.m. He was taken to the hospital for treatment. His
condition is unknown at this time.
Preliminary investigation indicates a fight started inside
the club and moved out into the parking lot where the shooting occurred.
No other details are known at this time.
