WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Nearly 12 million people tuned in Monday night to watch the premiere of NBC's Revolution, according to overnight numbers from Nielsen research.

NBC says the premiere of Revolution was the highest rated drama premiere since ABC's V in 2009.

Revolution is being filmed in the Wilmington area, but the pilot episode was taped in Georgia.

Wilmington was one of 11 cities selected to air a special screening of the show, before the pilot airs on NBC. The show takes place 15 years after a mysterious blackout hits the world and anything electronic is rendered useless.
