WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Hundreds of fans waited in line for hours to get a chance to watch Revolution with the stars.
The show screened its pilot at Thalian Hall Thursday night.
Emmy-nominated actor Giancarlo Esposito, Daniella Alonso and Graham Rogers, who star in the show, attended the screening, sitting in the middle of the audience.
Rogers, who plays Danny in the show, said he was overwhelmed at the crowd.
"It has been amazing how supportive everyone in the city has been," he said. "It has just been really cool to have a whole city support us."
For Alonso, filming in Wilmington is a homecoming. She acted in the hit show One Tree Hill.
"I learned to drive here. I bought my first car. It was my first show. So, there are a lot of memories in Wilmington," she said. "It is cool to be back."
And Esposito, who has been involved in various productions in Wilmington in the past, said he is also happy to be back.
"I really love it," he said. "Wilmington seems like it is a small town but it is a small town with a lot of merit. There are a lot of folks who are really up on this show, Revolution, and up on what is going on around the country. I am proud to be shooting this show here."
Wilmington seemed very proud to have Esposito in town too.
When our Frances Weller, who emceed the screening, introduced him, the crowd went wild. She hosted a Q&A with the cast after the screening.
Because so many people turned up to the theater, NBC held a second screening to make sure that everyone who wanted to see the pilot on the big screen could do so.
If you missed it, the show is online right now or you can wait to watch it on September 17 on WECT.
