If you're a fan of politics – the next two weeks are custom made for you. And if you're only just a fan of theater and drama, the next several days should be exciting. The political conventions are upon us and it is perhaps the best political theater you will see.
You're going to see patriotic, glitzy and awe-inspiring demonstrations of how incredible each candidate is. Both the Democrats and Republicans will put their best foot forward in an effort to woo the remaining "undecideds" who have yet to make up their mind about their choice for president.
Traditionally, observers say Labor Day weekend is the time people start paying attention to these races. With only two months to go before we vote on our nation's next leaders, I challenge you to pay attention, ask questions and research the issues. Our news department will do its best for you to cut through the avalanche of information and propaganda. But it's your job to stay educated and make a well informed decision this November.
