TABOR CITY, NC (WMBF/WECT) – Investigators are still searching for a man wanted in connection to a shooting in Loris, SC that sent one man to the hospital earlier this month.

According to Loris Police Chief Joseph Vaught, Dustin Stackhouse is the only person wanted in connection to the shooting that has yet to turn himself in.

Vaught said David Hemingway, 20, and Xavier Hemingway, 17, turned themselves in as well. They are each facing six counts of attempted murder in addition to first degree burglary, discharging firearms into a dwelling and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

According to Vaught, another young man, Christopher Green, of Tabor City, also turned himself into authorities last Friday. Vaught said he's being held in the Columbus County jail awaiting extradition to Horry County.

The shooting occurred in the early morning near Market Street on August 9, and Loris Police issued several warrants for the arrests of suspects in the crime.

Loris Police say a man was sent to the hospital after being shot in the arm when multiple gunshots were fired into a residence.

On Aug. 15, 30-year-old Amanda Jo Hardee of Tabor City was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center on six counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and discharging firearms into a dwelling.

In addition to the warrants issued for Hardee's arrest, Chief Vaught adds that warrants were sought for the arrest of Dustin Stackhouse, Xavier "Ray Ray" Hemingway and David "Frog" Hemingway in connection to the shooting in Loris.

There is also a fifth warrant, but Loris Police did not wish to release the fifth suspect's name at this time.

The Loris Police Department is working with the Tabor City Police Department to see how the shooting in Loris could be connected to a shooting in Tabor City that happened around the same time as the shooting in Loris.

Tabor City officials found David Grubbs sitting in a vehicle parked at Great Grace Church. Police say he had been shot several times in the face.

According to Cpt. Dean Foley with the Tabor City Police Department, Grubbs' son was assaulted and robbed earlier in the night.

Grubbs called his son's phone and whoever robbed his son answered. The person told Grubbs to meet them at the church and they would return his son's belongings to him.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Dustin Stackhouse is asked to contact the Tabor City Police Department at (910) 653-3149.
