Robert Downey Jr. filming a scene for "Iron Man 3."WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – There are reports that Iron Man 3 has halted shooting while Robert Downey, Jr. recovers from an injury.
WECT has spent all day communicating with Marvel for confirmation. Stephanie Kluft, with the Disney PR team released this statement:
"Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates."
Iron Man 3 has been shooting in the Port City since June.
