One person has died in an accident on Golden Road Thursday night, shutting down traffic in the area.
A motorcycle at the scene of the crash.NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – One person has died in an accident on Golden Road Thursday night, according to NHC dispatch officials.
Officials say the crash involved a motorcycle and a car.
Witnesses tell us the motorcycle driver had gone to get something to eat at the Food Lion in the area, he was struck leaving the parking lot.
The accident caused the northbound lanes of Carolina Beach Road between Heathcliff Road and Golden Road to close for about two hours. Those lanes are now back open.
Still no official word from officials on exactly what happened. We are waiting to hear back on that.
