WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) – The Life Rolls On Foundation will
host a surf event in Wrightsville Beach Saturday geared towards
providing people with spinal cord injuries an opportunity to surf.
"They Will Surf Again" is Life Rolls On's signature quality of life
program that empowers paraplegics and quadriplegics with the opportunity
to experience mobility by surfing with the assistance of adaptive
equipment and dedicated volunteers.
"I can't wait for this year's They Will Surf Again at Wrightsville
Beach," said local event leader and Life Rolls On volunteer Kevin
Murphy. According to Murphy, this event will be the "biggest and best
ever" done in North Carolina.
There will be a film screening Friday night at Wrightsville Beach
Park Amphitheater about the foundation's founder Jesse Billauer.
They Will Surf Again is a free event and welcomes all ages and experience levels. For more information, visit www.liferollson.org.
