Willie Parker has joined the coaching staff at WV Wesleyan.CLINTON, NC (WECT) - Willie Parker is adding coach to his football resume.
Parker joined the staff at WV Wesleyan, where he will assist with the Bobcats' offense.
Wesleyan is part of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Bobcats finished the 2011 season with a 6-2 overall record, which tied them for second place in the nine-team league.
Parker joins the Wesleyan staff after spending six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2004-09), where he was part of a pair of Super Bowl winning teams (XL and XLIII). During his time in Pittsburgh, the two-time Pro Bowl selection rushed for 5,378 yards on 1,253 carries and scored 24 touchdowns.
Parker signed with the Washington Redskins as an unrestricted free agent in April of 2010, but was released prior to the start of the 2010 season.
