Family members charged with selling drugs

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Two men were charged with selling cocaine and marijuana after an extensive investigation involving the Columbus County Sheriff's Office Vice/Narcotics Unit, according to Lt. Steven Worthington.

Authorities conducted a search of 3794 Old Dothan Road in Tabor City, Worthington said. Harrison "Chicken Man" Long and his nephew Timothy "Black" Mondale Long were both arrested.

Harrison Long was charged with the following:

  • Six counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • One count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine
  • One count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana
  • Thirteen counts of selling and delivering cocaine
  • Three counts of selling and delivering marijuana
  • One count of possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Ten counts of maintaining a dwelling to keep and sell a controlled substance

Timothy Long was charged with the following:

  • One count of possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana
  • Five counts of selling and delivering cocaine
  • One count of possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Three counts of trafficking in opium or heroin
  • Three counts of selling and delivering a schedule two controlled substance
  • Eight counts of maintaining a dwelling to keep and sell a controlled substance
  • Two counts of selling and delivering marijuana
  • Four counts of possession of a stolen firearm
