Mark Little will serve as both AD and head football coach at West Columbus.CERRO GORDO, NC (WECT) - Mark Little was approved to take over as athletics director at West Columbus high school during the Columbus County Schools Board of Education meeting Monday evening.
Little replaces Mitch McCleney who was re-assigned in June.
The move will mean Little will serve as both AD and head varsity football coach. He accepted the football position in January replacing Wayne Williamson who stepped down after one season.
The dual role is nothing new for Little who held the same positions at Whiteville high school for six years. Little also pulled double-duty at West Stanly high school from 1989-2001 then again from 2007-2012 when he resigned to make the move to West Columbus.
