New Hanover County Board of Elections Director Marvin McFadyen turned the names back over to the City Clerk's office for certification.
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – New Hanover County Board of Elections Director Marvin McFadyen said he has gone through the 104 signatures that the City of Wilmington requested him to double check concerning the minor league baseball petition.
He found 10 that he could not 100% say were signed by the registered voter.
McFadyen said that he was not going to take those names off of the certified petition.
In his opinion, it is only his job to certify that the names on the ballot are registered voters.
He turned the names back over to the City Clerk's office for certification.
