A tree fell on a car, but amazingly the driver walked away uninjured.WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Out of the corner of his eye, Michael Ward, 38, saw a tree branch falling toward his car Thursday morning before 11 a.m. on Market Street in Wilmington.
Before he even had a chance to react, the massive limb landed flat on the engine compartment of his vehicle. Amazingly, Ward walked away without a scratch on him, according to Wilmington Police.
It happened in the 2100 block of Market by the National Cemetery.
The tree where the branch fell from is still standing. It's unclear what caused the limb to break away.
Traffic is currently blocked at Market and 20th, according to police.
