WASHINGTON, DC (WECT) - North Carolina Representative Mike McIntyre (D-7th) has indicated he will vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress later this week.

The Obama administration has asserted executive privilege in keeping documents secret pertaining to a failed gun-tracking operation called "Fast and Furious." House Speaker John Boehner told reporters the House will move ahead with a contempt vote against the Attorney General after last minute talks with the White House did not go far enough.

According to the Associated Press, the issue is taking on political implications with the National Rifle Association paying close attention.
