Southern Penne Pasta with Chicken

3/4 lb. barilla penne pasta

2 tbls. butter

2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts halves sliced 1/2 inch thick

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 bunch green onion, chopped

2 tbls. Cajun Seasoning

1 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. cayenne pepper

8 oz. heavy cream

1 green bell pepper, julienne

1 yellow bell pepper, julienne

8 oz. fresh mushrooms

3/4 cup parmesan cheese

Cook Barrilla pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside. Meanwhile melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook, stirring frequently until browned. (6-8 minutes). Add garlic, onions, Cajun seasoning and black pepper. bell peppers and mushrooms. Stir.

Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Uncover and stir in parmesan then combine sauce with penne and serve.
