Sea turtle hospital hosts Annual Turtle Physical

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - All hands were on deck Wednesday at the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital as part of the Annual Turtle Physical event.
Each turtle that has been rehabilitating at the hospital received a checkup to see if they are ready to go back home to the ocean.
That turtle release event is a huge event for Topsail Island.
The new turtle hospital that has been underway for some time now still isn't open, but folks at Wednesday's event say they're shooting for the end of the summer.
