Going to court, the cowboy way

A defendant in a local court case made a cowboy entrance right out of the wild west Wednesday morning.

Rocky Point resident Chris Lutterloah rode his 10-year-old Arabian mare to the New Hanover County Courthouse. It's the same type of defiant act that landed him there in the first place.

Lutterloah is on trial for riding his horse in the town of Carolina Beach, which is not allowed. He's also accused of resisting an officer.

Lutterloah calls the town rules "illegal." He says he's been charged several times, and is yet to lose a case.
