Gingrich out, NFL star dead, Gov. Perdue in Wilmington

Newt Gingrich announced today that he is dropping out of the presidential race after "reevaluating" his standing in the race in light of the results of the Delaware primary.

It's a sad day for NFL fans. Media reports say that former all-pro linebacker Junior Seau is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. He played for the San Diego Chargers, the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.

Lights, camera, action! Governor Bev Perdue was in Wilmington today to announce her 2012-2013 budget proposal, and she has a game plan for locals looking to snag a job in the film industry.

Just a punch line, or crossing the line? The upcoming constitutional amendment in NC that would define marriage has been causing a lot of controversy lately between both supporters and opponents. Now, it seems the pot has been stirred even more after a pastor told parents to punch their sons if they acted as if they might be gay; but he argues that he was just joking.

Hope you'll tune in tonight at 5:00. We'll have more on a mother accused of taking her five-year-old daughter to a tanning salon; a better idea of how new property values will affect you if you live in Wilmington; a local school principal who's resigning and much more.
