ALBANY, GA (WALB/WECT) - A man is in a Georgia jail after being charged with making fake coupons and ripping off Walmart stores in Charlotte, North Carolina and Florida.
Dougherty County Police say that Marvin Hallock printed his own bogus coupons, and took them to numerous Walmart stores, and used them to get deep discounts on products ranging from dog food and cat food to Pepsi products, and cosmetics.
They say he would bring the items back to Albany, and sell them at Kitty's Flea Market to people who had no idea they were stolen.
Investigators say that Hallock's scheme ran into many thousands of dollars.
The case is being examined by DCP and Walmart security.
