Garden Tour Kick-off

The Queen's garden party is a highlight of every festival, where her majesty is feted among the splendors of private gardens that are the pride of their owners.

This year, Queen Azalea IVII, Dari Alexander, was welcomed to the garden of Linwood Gainey and Frank Potter at Porters Neck. That was the site this morning for the ribbon-cutting officially opening the garden tour.

Tickets for the tour can be bought at the Azalea Festival Office on Oleander Drive, or at any of the gardens on the tour.

The money raised by the garden club goes to various community projects.
