Azalea Festival traffic woes

More than 5,000 people will be attending concerts this week at UNCW's Trask Coliseum, as the Azalea Festival comes into full bloom.

To help with traffic for both the Brad Paisley and Jessica Simpson concerts, extra police will be on staff to direct traffic. Also the stop lights on College Road near the university will be altered to help alleviate some of the expected congestion.
Downtown will be no different. Officials are expecting more than 100,000 people this weekend.
As for parking, you can park east of Fifth Street in a white marked space or a public parking lot.
