Murder trial testimony continues

Today marked the beginning of the second day of testimony in the trial of Thomas Grooms, who is facing murder charges in the deaths of a father and his teenage soon after they died while they were riding their bikes last April. Day two began with questioning if Grooms tried to leave the scene of the crime. You can get a play-by-play of what's happening in the courtroom right now by clicking here.

Grooms' trial stems from the deaths that happened on River Road. Now, almost a year later, some cyclists say they will never ride there again. Has anything been done to try to make that road safer following the losses? We'll have the latest details tonight.

Yesterday, authorities investigated a shooting that happened after a man and a woman got into an argument. Now, it's reported that the alleged victim is blind in one eye, and the shooter is expected to lose his leg.

Are you good at taking pictures? If so, you may be just what one local town needs. Kure Beach is looking for photographs taken by residents to give their website a new look. Click here for more information.

I hope that you'll join us tonight starting at 5:00! We'll have more on why more couples are saying "I don't" when it comes to marriage; how high gas prices are affecting a specific industry in our area; why a missing persons organization is attracting search groups from around the country and much more.
