Spring Open House for our Weather Network Program

Our First Alert Weather Network program has been such a success, we need to have another Open House, and we want YOU to join us!

We're having an Open House for the next "class" of Weather Network Reporters so we can get to know you. We'll also provide you with tips and suggestions for how to cover weather in your community.

The First Alert Weather Network is our community weather observer, spotter and reporter program. We let YOU become part of the First Alert Weather Team. Not only can you provide us with daily data, but your video and picture updates from your community will become part of our newscasts.

Visit our program site to learn more and get familiar with some of what you'll learn during the Open House.

During the Open House you will :
-Meet members of the program and the First Alert Weather Team
-Take a tour of our new studio and newsroom
-Get a Behind-The-Scenes look at the First Alert Weather Center
-Watch a live television newscast from our studio
-Get tips and info on how to send video/reports
-Learn what to report during severe weather
-Take a profile picture

Light refreshments will be offered during the Open House. Picture and video may be taken during the Open House. We may also be taking profile pictures for our web site or on-air graphics.

    A plume of tropical moisture from Subtropical Storm Alberto will funnel into the Carolinas through the Memorial Day weekend and into early next week. The risk for showers, thundershowers and isolated downpours will be possible over the next several days.
