Frank Deals discount cards give half of profits to charities

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Frank Deals is a discount card that emulates one of those coupons books, but the difference is that it's completely digital.

The local company has been around for a couple of years.  It helps you save money in the Wilmington area and Raleigh.  And, now you can purchase the card at the Cameron Art Museum.

They cost $25 and half the money goes to a area fundraiser or charity.  Many schools sell them, but now they can be purchased directly at the Cameron Art Museum.  On your first visit to Cameron, you can get the free admission.  Then, check back monthly for more deals.

The same goes for other restaurants and businesses.  They typically give a one-time deal and then more as time goes by.

"One thing that's unique about our Frank card, you can use it in every market that Frank exists," said Greg Tumolo, CEO of Frank Deals.  "The savings is tremendous."

So far, more than 25,000 people have a Frank card.  Around 500 businesses participate in the Frank program.  Tumolo hopes to expand throughout the Southeast.
