The filing deadline is behind us and we're off to the races.
For those who love politics, this is like the Super Bowl, Christmas and summer vacation all wrapped up into one.
For those of us who don't like it, let's hope the time flies quickly.
But it's time for debates, commercials and mud-slinging. And it's going to get ugly. There will be more spinning going on between now and November than you'll find in any laundromat.
I've already heard some interesting claims from those who want to represent us. And it can get confusing. You might get frustrated just trying to get to the truth.
We're here to help. The good folks in our newsroom plan to keep these people accountable. We will try to help you get through it.
At the same time, you have the responsibility to get informed. You might not think it matters, but these are the people who will make decisions that impact all of us in a big way.
Politics may be messy, but it's part of the best system in the entire world for people who want to enjoy the freedoms we have.
