GUILTY: Man found guilty of 2008 murder

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A jury found Matthew Baber guilty of first degree murder Monday, according to the District Attorney's Office.

Baber was charged for the death of James Murdock in 2008.

According to investigators, 20-30 shots were fired at the car Murdock was sitting in on Pineclair Drive in Calabash. Murdock died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Norman Simmons was also arrested for the murder.
