WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A man from Wilmington pleaded guilty in federal court to transporting child pornography this week.

Matthew Bryan Warford, 21, transported the images in August 2010, according to court records.  Law enforcement got a tip in March the following year that the pornography was uploaded to a website called photobucket.com.  Investigators traced the IP address to Warford's home in Wilmington.

After interviewing Warford, police learned that he was a registered sex offender from a conviction in 2009.

Warford faces up to 40 years in prison at a sentencing hearing.  That date has not been set yet.
