The Waffle House in Ogden went all out for Valentine's Day this year.WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Local restaurants had their reservation books filling up for Valentine's Day, and one in particular offered a deal Tuesday night that wouldn't break the bank.
The Waffle House in Ogden made the holiday special, inviting folks to celebrate the night there.
They dimmed the lights and put on some smooth music. Gone were the menu place mats – the were replaced with white table cloths and flowers.
The restaurant served up a special deal -- a rib eye dinner for two, complete with a drink and dessert, for only $20.
"So many places in town offer a price-fixed menu for an elaborate amount of money, said District Manager Chris Robert. "And in Wilmington, there are a lot of nice, fancy restaurants. We're able to offer that feeling at a little more of an affordable option..."
Other area restaurants held similar specials, including the McDonald's in Southport.
