NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Three educational institutions were put on lockdown Friday morning after reports of a bomb threat at a nearby retirement home. The lockdown was lifted just before 12:15 Friday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Jerry Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, Hoggard High School, Roland Grise Middle School and the Learning Center are all on lockdown.
Brewer said officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating bomb threats at Liberty Home Care, which is across the street from Hoggard High School.
According to Twitter, NHCS is asked people to avoid coming to Hoggard and Roland Grise during the lockdown because the buildings aren't accessible until lockdown was lifted.
