Cloudy conditions will prevail today, even though shallow high pressure nudges in from the north. This will leave us with temperatures near normal with highs in the upper 50s. Showers could crop up this evening as a developing area of low pressure moves along a stalled front into eastern North and South Carolina. However because of the dry lower levels of the atmosphere the rain chances will remain low.
The long term forecast includes mostly sunny skies with temperatures a few degrees above normal until the late weekend. That's when a blast of cold Canadian air moves in helping to cool things down.
