WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – After more than 40 years in education and 18 years at Cape Fear Community College, President Eric McKeithan recently announced his retirement, saying 2012 is the perfect year to end his career.
McKeithan said he wants to be able to own 100 percent of his schedule to focus on family efforts.
The executive committee of the College Board of Trustees has organized its first meeting to discuss finding McKeithan's replacement.
The trustees will talk about the next steps in the search process, Friday, February 24.
McKeithan's last day is July 1.
