R.C. Soles accuser arrested and charged with lying to police

TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) - Tabor City Police said they arrested Frankie Lee Jernigan Friday night and charged him with lying to police. Earlier this month, R.C. Soles was found not guilty of striking Jernigan with a metal walking cane last year.

In court earlier this month, Jernigan admitted he lied about several accusations he made against Soles.

Police issued a warrant for Jernigan's arrest last Wednesday and they picked him up at the Economy Inn in Tabor City around 7:45 Friday night.

He's being held on a $1,000 secure bond.
