FORT BRAGG, NC (WECT) – A soldier from Fort Bragg pleaded
guilty in federal court Wednesday to conspiring to defraud the United States by
false, fictitious and fraudulent claims.
According to the NC Department of Justice, Jimmy Negron,
Jr., 27, submitted false and inflated travel claims from January 2009 to April
2010. A Criminal Information report
filed December 27, 2011 says the proceeds were deposited into personal bank
accounts.
The fraudulent vouchers included travel or inflated expenses
that hadn't happened.
Negron will face up to ten years behind bars, followed by up
to three years supervised release.
