Ferguson was last seen driving a light blue 2010 Chrysler Town and Country van with the plate number SWL - 4949 around Ocean Isle Beach.
He was wearing a green and white plaid shirt with a black and white golf shirt underneath. He had on dark polyester pants and black dress shoes.
Ferguson is new to the area and possibly lost. His last contact was January 14 with AAA, telling the agency he was on U.S. Hwy. 17.
The 85-year-old man is listed as 5'9" and weighing approximately 200 lbs. He has gray hair and blue eyes. Anyone who has seen Ferguson is asked to contact Brunswick County Sheriff's Office at 910-253-2777 or Detective Ed Carter at 910-880-4946.
