NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – If you're looking for a holiday house to visit this season, there is one off Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway you won't want to miss.
Ann Holland and Kirby Porter have been decorating a home for the past nine years.
They start September 1 with a big tree in the living room and add decorations throughout the months. Porter said they have more decorations, but don't have enough power to light them all without blowing a fuse.
Holland and Porter save money all year to help with the electric bill in December which reaches around $1,000.
Holland said the holiday house tradition began to entertain the little ones in her family, but now they welcome just about anyone inside from 6:30-9 p.m.
The home is located at 632 Springtime Road in Wilmington.
