"Time
Magazine "has chosen "the protester" as this year's person of the year.
And
this choice appears to be getting just as much criticism as the year "Time"
chose "you" as person of the year and put a reflective sticker on the magazine.
This
year's choice is in honor of the protesters in the Middle East as well as the
"Occupy Wall Street" movement. Do
you get the impression a lot of these folks are updating their resumes now?
I
guess this is the point where I give my acceptance speech. No, I wasn't part of the Occupy Wall Street
movement, but I protested at one point in my life. It was over 40 years ago I stood with my classmates
to protest the Vietnam War. If only my
parents were still alive to see me get this honor - Person of the Year!
Not
quite sure I agree with this choice by Time though. For one thing, I'm not worthy. And the other is there are many better
choices.
That's my turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment, or anything else, email me at yourturn@wect.com.
