Sarah joined WECT in October 2011 after graduating from UNCW in July. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and minored in Journalism.
During her time at UNCW, she interned with Wilmington's Encore Magazine, which gave her invaluable experience with both writing and interviewing.
Writing has always been a passion of Sarah's, but it wasn't until she began reporting for her high school's newspaper that she became aware of her love for journalism. From that point on, she knew that she wanted to make a career out of it and went on to become section editors for the newspaper during her junior and senior years. During that time, she also attended the North Carolina Scholastic Media Association's Journalism Camp and joined Quill and Scroll, an international journalism society.
When she's not writing, she loves trying new things and is always on the lookout for new music and concerts to check out. After spending a semester studying abroad in London in 2010, she also fell in love with traveling and hopes to eventually see as many places in the world as possible.
Sarah is thrilled to be a part of WECT and loves working in the newsroom.
