WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A new nightclub could be opening soon in downtown Wilmington.

The Brik-House is set to open in the location where The Rox used to be.  The owner said it'll be a new club with a new environment.  He said it will have live music and top 40 dancing.

The City of Wilmington recently set guidelines for new clubs downtown to ensure there's no history of trouble with the owner or location.

The club's owner will apply for its alcohol permit from the state Friday.
