CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) – Sgt. Kim Munley, a native of Carolina Beach, is one of 83 people filing suit over the Fort Hood shooting.
According to the Army Times, the victims are suing the US government, alleging willful negligence in the rampage that killed 13 people and wounded three dozen others.
Munley was a civilian officer at Fort Hood at the time who was injured in the shooting.
Those filing suit are seeking $750 million in damages.
The suit also alleges the officials bowed to political correctness, ignoring warning signs regarding Major Nidal Hasan, who was also charged in the shooting.
Munley had no comment on the lawsuit.
