SHALLOTTE, NC (WECT) - A viewer concerned about overgrown bushes and trees at the Highway 130 and 17 intersection at the overpass in Shallotte posted the problem on the See, Click, Fix section of WECT.com.
The post reads: "Bushes & trees need to be cut below guardrails on all sides of the intersection. Your views are dangerously blocked to on coming traffic. This item still needs constant attention due to the bushes continuing to grow. They have grown back some over the Summer so please pass this along to the correct office as before to keep it from being a continual problem."
The Brunswick County office of the North Carolina Department of Transportation was contacted, they sent crews out and the problem has been fixed.
