Staying informed has never been so easy. WECT has a number of ways you can receive information straight to your mobile phone, even if it's not a smart phone. For some, this may be the only way to stay connected if you lose power or your internet connection.
1. Download the WECT News App. We will keep it updated with the most up-to-date information and video reports. Just look for WECT News in the Android market , the iTunes app store, or in App World on your Blackberry.

Send us your news tips, pics and flicks directly from your phone in the "My Report" section that appears when you slide the blue arrow up at the bottom of the page. The updated app is free and gives users access to WECT 24/7.
2. Download the WECT Weather App. This app features an interactive radar with the highest resolution satellite cloud imagery available.
It has fully integrated GPS technology will provide current location forecasts and the ability to easily save your favorite locations.
Additionally, color coded weather alerts makes it easy to determine weather severity. The app also features the most accurate 10-day forecasts with both daily and hourly details
Be sure to turn on push alerts so that you will receive any severe weather alerts at all times.
3. If you don't have a Blackberry, Android or iPhone but would still like to stay informed, just log onto our mobile site at m.wect.com from your phone's browser.
4. Sign up to receive text messages for breaking news and weather events from WECT. Click here to fill out the form online to receive text message updates directly to your phone. You can also text WECTNews to 30881 to sign up for the alerts. Message and data rates may apply.
