WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Midnite Madness kicked off UNCW's basketball season Friday night at Trask Coliseum.
Students and fans also got their first look at the completed renovation project at the arena. The $2 million renovation project included a new scoreboard, complete with LED screens.
Crews also resurfaced the hardwood and repainted the floors. The coliseum added a new chairback seating area right next to the floor.
The project started in July and just finished up a few days ago.
The first basketball game is in two weeks, on Saturday, Oct. 29. The men's team will play St. Andrews in an exhibition game.
